Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Specialist Psychiatrist to join a mental health and rehabilitation service in Dubai. The role focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with mental health disorders, addiction, and substance use disorders, within a structured and multidisciplinary care environment.

The Specialist Psychiatrist will work closely with consultants, psychologists, therapists, nursing staff, and rehabilitation teams to deliver patient-centered, evidence-based psychiatric care.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses

Manage and treat patients with:

Mental health disorders

Substance use disorders

Addiction-related conditions

Rehabilitation needs

Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans

Prescribe and adjust psychotropic medications as clinically indicated

Provide regular follow-ups and ongoing psychiatric care

Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure integrated care

Maintain accurate and confidential medical records

Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, ethical standards, and facility policies

Participate in clinical meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement activities

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Licensing

Medical Degree with specialization in Psychiatry

Specialist-level experience as per DHA criteria

DHA License or DHA Eligibility preferred

Experience

Demonstrated experience in:

Addiction psychiatry

Substance use disorders

Mental health disorders

Rehabilitation or structured treatment settings

Skills & Competencies

Strong clinical and diagnostic skills

Ability to manage complex psychiatric and addiction cases

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Professional, ethical, and patient-focused approach

Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
