Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive evaluations and assessments of sports injuries.
Create customized treatment and rehabilitation plans tailored to the individual needs of athletes.
Collaborate with physical therapists, coaches, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate the best possible care.
Educate athletes on injury prevention methods and maintain their overall health.
Conduct various medical procedures such as injections and other interventions as necessary.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in sports medicine and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.
Participate in community health programs that promote sports safety and wellness.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all patient interactions and treatment processes.
Requirements
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Completion of residency training in sports medicine, orthopedic surgery, or a related field.
Board certification in sports medicine is preferred.
At least three years of experience working in sports medicine or a related area.
Strong understanding of rehabilitation practices and sports-specific injuries.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-focused environment.
Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Dedication to continuous learning and professional growth within the field.
