Essential responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for sports-related injuries.
Develop individualized rehabilitation strategies to facilitate recovery and enhance athletic performance.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including trainers, physiotherapists, and other medical professionals.
Educate athletes and their families on injury prevention, nutrition, and wellness practices.
Perform necessary procedures such as injections and other therapeutic interventions.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in sports medicine and incorporate evidence-based practices.
Engage in community outreach and sports health education programs.
Maintain accurate and organized medical records and documentation.
Requirements
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Completion of a residency in sports medicine or a related specialty.
Board certification in sports medicine is preferred.
A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience.
Deep understanding of injury management, rehabilitation processes, and sports science.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced clinical environment.
Commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth in the field of sports medicine.
