Description

The purpose of the ED/Trauma Reception Staff Nurse is to provide rapid assessment, triage and critical care to patients in our fast-paced Emergency Department and Trauma Reception Unit.

The post holder will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality, patient centred care in a busy clinical environment. As a staff nurse, the post holder will work in the Emergency Department (ED) which contains the newly established Trauma Reception at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, one of Ireland’s two designated Major Trauma Centres (MTC).

The post holder will be exposed to all areas of the ED, and will be orientated and equipped with the necessary skills to confidently work in the Minors, Majors, Triage and Resuscitation areas, and will be expected to cross cover all areas once trained to do so.
