Professional Summary

Experienced Urology Registrar providing comprehensive outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, and management of urological conditions affecting the urinary tract and male reproductive system. Skilled in diagnosing and treating common urologic disorders including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, benign prostatic hyperplasia, urinary incontinence, and male reproductive health conditions.

Demonstrates strong clinical expertise in outpatient urologic assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and evidence-based treatment planning while ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols. Committed to delivering patient-centered care, improving patient outcomes, and promoting preventive health education.

Actively participates in clinical quality improvement initiatives, infection control practices, and continuous professional development while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and ethical medical practice.

Job Description

The Urology Registrar (OPD – Outpatient Department) is responsible for providing comprehensive urological care in the outpatient setting in accordance with SCFHS clinical privileges, MOH regulations, and CBAHI accreditation standards. The role involves evaluating patients with urological conditions, initiating treatment plans, performing minor procedures when applicable, and coordinating care with senior consultants and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive urological consultations and patient assessments in the outpatient department

Diagnose and manage common urological conditions including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, prostate disorders, and urinary incontinence

Evaluate and manage male reproductive health conditions such as erectile dysfunction and infertility

Order and interpret diagnostic investigations including laboratory tests, ultrasound, and imaging studies

Perform minor urological procedures within OPD scope of practice when applicable

Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessment and diagnostic findings

Provide patient education regarding disease prevention, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation according to hospital and regulatory standards

Ensure compliance with infection control policies and patient safety standards

Collaborate with consultants and multidisciplinary healthcare teams for patient management

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing professional development

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

MBBS / MBBCh (Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine)

Postgraduate qualification in Urology (MD Urology / Arab Board / Master’s Degree or equivalent)

Valid SCFHS Classification & Registration as Urology Registrar

Valid MOH License or eligibility to obtain one

Transferable Iqama required
