As a visceral surgeon, you will specialize in performing surgical procedures related to the abdominal organs and gastrointestinal tract.

Key responsibilities

Perform a variety of surgical procedures on visceral organs, including the liver, pancreas, and intestines.

Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative care for patients.

Utilize minimally invasive surgical techniques when applicable.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.

Educate and support patients and their families throughout their surgical journey.

Stay current with advancements in visceral surgery and continually improve surgical practices.

Requirements

Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with a specialization in general surgery.

Fellowship training in visceral or gastrointestinal surgery is preferred.

Demonstrated experience in performing complex abdominal surgeries.

Strong knowledge of surgical techniques and patient care.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
